My first week
Hello my slimming lovelies!
So I didn't feel the 'need' to write last week but decided this week I want to write about my first week... spoiler alert!! I lost 5.5lbs the first week so just bloody shows that slimming world works people! As long as you stick to the plan... Don't let the plan stick you!...
I don't know what that means but felt like it needed to be put there.
So I'm sure you've followed my instagram as thats the only place I've shared my blog link because I'm bad at sharing on social media apart from instagram :'D...That was an emoji... old school. Anyway (So easily distracted), I planned everything before I even re-started slimming world, 2 weeks worth of breakfast, lunch and dinners!
Seeeeeeee.... I sat with all the books round me. But in all honesty I have 2 books that I make all my recipes from. The magical 'Fakeaways' and 'Best loved recipes'. I don't even know why I have the others. I may sell them as they're wasted on me.
So the Sunday before I started back I bought everything I needed for 2 weeks worth of food. That was a big shop, mainly because I hadn't done a full shop in weeks anyway so needed...EVERYTHING. But anyway! So my first week I was so on it, a couple of days had to be changed slightly because of unforeseen circumstances, but I then had the most annoying thing... Ever.
My Shark week started...
Disclaimer: For those of you who don't know what Shark week is... it's my period. I say it because it sounds accurate... I want to eat everything and that involves blood in the Shark world. Also I saw this online and thought it was just perfect for me.
I felt bloated, hungry and really wanted chocolate, but I kept control and boy did it pay off! When I put my trousers on Tuesday morning... THEY WERE LOOOOOOOOSE!!! I did a little dance!
Then walking into group I felt that bloated feeling and just thought to myself, you know what woman, it doesn't matter because next week it will show on the scales. But when I say those numbers go down and down I was so pleased and yes I jumped around to see 14.9 1/2lbs come up on the screen. It just shows that planning really does work, it shows slimming world works! It was such a relief and confidence boost.
If you have come from my instagram and want any of the recipes of the meals you saw, please don't hesitate to message me as I am definitely all about the sharing.
Just keep a positive attitude and realise that some things are out of your control but most things are easily worked around. But also allow yourself to have a damn burger when you're out and about. One meal does not a sabotage make, it's when you have that one meal and then decide that the rest of the day doesn't matter. Because unfortunately that usually leads to the week not mattering either.
MY TOP TIP OF THE WEEK!
Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. I cannot stress this enough. Seriously, it will not only help your food choices but it will help your budget. If I didn't plan and just bought whatever I thought I might need that week... I would be completely broke. So grab a pen and paper, your slimming world books or load up the website and make a coffee. Write down what you want to make, what days that will work on (Thursday evenings I hate cooking so I cook something on Wednesday that I know I can have as leftovers on Thursday), make a list of what you will need for those meals, check whatever you have in already so you don't buy the same thing over and over (Guilty), and make your shopping list. Make time for it, because in the long term it is making time for you to not only help yourself but those around you as well!
